Lift Every Voice

Titled after the famous poem and song by James Weldon Johnson and John Johnson, "Lift Every Voice and Sing" reminds participants of the importance of uplifting marginalized voices in group conversations.
Learners in this workshop will walk away having analysed the voices they typically hear in meetings, and with an arsenal of strategies for amplifying the participation of all. Participants will also create their own action plan to bring back to their chapter or team. |
Doodling for Effective Communication

This program is based on Suni Brown's book, "The Doodle Revolution," and focuses on how techniques used in drawing and doodling can aid in communication that is more engaging, memorable, and easily understood than simple words on a page. The workshop utilizes small groups and case studies, and will teach participants about the 12 Essential Doodle Devices and how to present information using a tool called an Infodoodle. As a final product, participants create a project proposal using their new visual communication skills.

Overview of "The Inner Circle"
Specific to groups within Kappa Kappa Psi, the Overview of The Inner Circle walks participants through the program created by the fraternity's Ritual Performance and Education Committee. This session covers the reasoning behind creating this resource, methodology of the committee, the contents of the book, how to customize it for your chapter's needs, and a demonstration of the Topic "Secrecy" from Unit 1.
